OPERATION YODA
In February 2007 a tragic winter auto accident took the life of eight-year-old Team Brewhaha member Zachary Taylor and the lives of his Aunt, Brandy Taylor, and his cousin, Nikki Taylor. Zach’s family and friends have endeavored a memorial project to honor the memory of this bright and energetic young man whose life and faith brought joy to so many others. The Zach Taylor Memorial Playground Project will accumulate the resources and construct a sizeable playground area on the grounds of Faith Lutheran’s new campus at the corners of Grass Lake Road and Hwy 59 in Zachary's hometown of Antioch, Illinois. The playground will be another safe and inviting place where the children and families of the Antioch community will always be welcome to relax, play and enjoy. The funding goal of phase one of this multi-phase project has been reached through the generosity of Zach’s friends and family, and we continue to raise towards Phase 2 which will double the size of the playground. Construction of phase 1 will be completed in Fall 2008.
